The Irony of an AI Book Ruined by AI

The AI voice narration is terrible when a book isn’t written to accommodate it, and this book is a perfect example. It contains a large number of symbols, such as “>” and the British pound sign, that the AI narrator handles poorly. For instance, whenever the author presents a workflow like “Design > Build > Market > Monetize,” the narrator reads it aloud as “Design greater than Build greater than Market greater than Monetize.”

This happens repeatedly—dozens of times throughout the book—and it’s incredibly distracting. After a while, it makes the book nearly unreadable. I tried to see if there was an accompanying PDF or written version I could reference instead, but there wasn’t.

This is the first time I genuinely feel like I wasted money on an Audible book. I’d strongly recommend avoiding AI-narrated audiobooks until authors learn how to write with AI narration in mind. Ironically, this book is about how to use AI.
