Short, nice Alien story.

This book would not be something I'd describe as original or with a gripping plot, but it was a nice transition between heavier books, a palate cleanser.
The world building was minimal and not at all hard to understand. The characters pretty straightforward, with not too much depth.
It has its funny moments, especially with the cat Silas, the language barrier and the culture differences. It had several spicy scenes but they were a bit repetitive and the female narrator did not do them justice imo.
Vork was a nice character and Evie was funny and strong willed, but I disliked the constant comparisons she made between Vork and her ex.
It was an unnecessary way to add unnecessary angst between the mcs.
I don't think I will buy the second book, but I do recommend this one since it was in the plus catalogue.

A solid, sweet romance with some spicy fun

Overall, I was very pleased with this book. It was well written, the story was intriguing, and I wanted to see more. I'll probably pick up the next in the series later on down the line. The characters were kind, the spicy scenes were fun, and the conflict wasn't overwrought. The main conflict in the story made sense and was definitely something to get worked up about, but not world ending, and that kept things feeling very personal and down to earth (or crakair, hah!). If you want something with a huge and complex story with world altering events, this is not the book for you. If you want a story that focuses on the personal lives of the characters, this is right up your alley.

Good book

I enjoyed this book, but I felt like I was missing something. This is the first in the series, but there must be some before it in the world setting because there are other characters that interact that have their story already told.

Loved it. I hope to enjoy the rest of the series. Good read by Ava Ross.
