The blood of soldiers is not the only thing soaking the fields of Gettysburg.

For Eli Ward, a Union sharpshooter, the battle is a grim calculus of distance and wind. But as the sun sets on the second day of fighting, the familiar horrors of war are twisted into a nightmare he could never imagine. The screams echoing in the twilight are no longer just from the wounded, but from things that hunt in the shadows, creatures born of rage and bloodlust.

When Eli is forced into a desperate alliance with a Confederate soldier—an enemy he tried to kill just hours before—they uncover a terrifying truth. A primal curse has been unleashed upon the battlefield, and the dead are not resting easy. Armed with dwindling ammunition and a terrifying legend of silver's power, the two soldiers must fight a new war in the darkness.

Against a relentless pack of monsters that are faster, stronger, and driven by an insatiable hunger, their only goal is to survive until dawn. But in a conflict where the lines between man and monster blur, survival may cost them their very souls.

Terrible Narration! No emphasis in speaking. States he is screaming and yelling in a regular voice.

Great Storyline

Great quick listen, easily invested in the two main characters. Narration could’ve been a little better but not bad.

Just love the Civil War/Horror aspect

Too bad this wasn't a full length story! I really enjoyed it. Eli and Caleb were fully fleshed out in spite of the short length. The author's descriptive word usage made it easy to form whole scenes in my mind as the story progressed, especially the scenes when it was foggy, and in the barn.

Excellent story!!
