Christmas just ain’t Christmas without the one you love.

That’s exactly how 30-year-old Promise Peterson is feeling this year. After tragically losing her first love last Christmas Eve, she isn’t feeling the holiday season. Christmas isn’t so merry when you’re mourning the deathaversary of the love of your life.

32-year-old Ryan “Choppa” Griggs has the city of St. Louis in the palms of his hands. Staking claim of the streets as just a jitt, he takes care of his people, and his people takes care of him. When he comes across the snobby yet beautiful Promise during one of his charity events, it’s impossible to deny the instant attraction he feels for her. Sensing the hurt in her soul when he stares into her eyes, he wants nothing more than to be a comfort for Promise. But what will happen when Ryan finds out that he just may be the cause of her pain in the first place?

Just when Promise finds her safe space and is loving the holiday season again, she finds herself right back where she started – heartbroken. Will Ryan be able to make amends and repair a heart that he broke twice just in time to save Christmas?

Good story

This is a great quick read. I genuinely enjoyed it. I really loved the way it ended. I needed to hear a story like this. Congratulations. Let’s have more more.
