Four stories to chill the blood...

Master of horror Lee Mountford invites you to gather round and prepare yourselves. This collection is guaranteed to have you hiding under your covers at night.

The Lighthouse: follows two friends as they explore an abandoned estate with a dark past. And what of the ominous lighthouse out at sea?

Closer: tells the story of a young couple that notices a stranger outside at night. Every evening, he moves a little bit closer to them.

The Attic: a man moves into a rental home and starts hearing strange noises in the attic above. But every time he checks, the space is completely clear.

The Retreat: a successful businesswoman escapes to an isolated retreat to decompress. However, it isn’t as isolated as she first thought.

So, the question is… do you Wanna be Scared?

Every story left me wanting more! My immediate response to the endings were “Nooooo keep going!” Wish the stories were longer, so creepy and awesome!

Awesome

First story - Lighthouse - was very Lovecraft-ian in nature and a bit too gory for me. This one could’ve been shorter. Excellent narration!
4 stars

Second story - Closer - was great. If you’ve ever listened to Creeper, this will definitely remind you of that story. And this story could’ve been longer. Excellent narration!
4 stars

Third story - Attic - was okay. This story, too, could’ve been a bit longer.
Narrator fair.
3 stars

Fourth story - Retreat - was top notch scary!! MY FAVORITE STORY! I truly wish this story was much longer. It has potential for a full novel! Narration excellent
5++ stars

I also enjoyed the notes of Dr B. A series of novels with these spooky creatures and Dr B. would be a welcome listen.
