In the tumultuous aftermath of Book One, War of Mortal Gods, the EVO Universe plunges deeper into chaos and uncertainty. As Thracian royalty, Prince Merc and Princess Attea, attempt to apprehend Earth's hero, Freedom (Sophia Dennison), an unforeseen crisis unfolds, leaving the fate of the universe hanging in the balance.

Horus, the malevolent force seeking universal conquest, achieves a sinister victory by resurrecting his dead wife, Sekhmet, the self-proclaimed Egyptian goddess of war. Together, they embark on the execution of their malevolent plot, casting shadows across the cosmos.

The main capital building, where Freedom's inquiry trial was set to take place, becomes the epicenter of a devastating attack. As the trial unfolds, chaos erupts within the chambers. Horus's youngest clone son, Montu, clad in a suit reminiscent of Sophia's original superhero outfit, spearheads the destruction, leaving the once-hallowed halls in ruins.

Simultaneously, the Regulator Unit, comprising Abe Rogers, Blitz, Merge, and Lady Tech, faces an unexpected twist of fate. Transported to an unknown alien planet by Apedemak, the clone son of Horus, they find themselves in a perilous situation. Ambushed by forces from Volori and Gregor, their very survival becomes uncertain.

As alliances fracture and betrayal looms, Lawrence, bearing the title of the Eye of Ra, must unravel the threads of this cosmic conspiracy. The War of Mortal Gods intensifies, unveiling a tapestry of deceit, power struggles, and the resurgence of ancient evils. Brace yourself for the next chapter in the EVO Universe, where the consequences of each action reverberate across galaxies, and the line between hero and villain blurs into shades of cosmic uncertainty.

I love this story. Please, please, please hurry and come back with the next book. I need it. The over-descriptive thing seemed to tone down a bit. This book is awesome!

Exceptional

There is only one downside to this story. It have took you 4 years to write a part 2 and it was very short. So in that regard I was not satisfied enough. You need to hurry up and just finish the story and stop drawing it out. It's been too many years since the 1st book came out, and it shouldn't take this long too end this. But I will be waiting for book 6 to come. Just don't take more than a year for the last one.

Just one downside

I've listened to the entire book series the first and now up to war mortal gods two. Kypjo... I'm going to level with you. you were always heavy with description.

Which in itself isn't a bad thing. However sometimes you do go a bit overboard sometimes and it eats up too much story time before the next thing can actually happen. Tone it down a bit and you should be good.

I will say I do miss Carla Mercer Meyer, the previous narrator, as I do believe she is better than the current narrator. Now that is not to say that the current narrator is bad. But she does have some quirks that need to be addressed.

Mainly in how she is reading the material and the awkward William Shatner like pauses that make you think she's done but then she adds on to what she just said and you think she's done again but she adds on something else that seems like it should have been part of one flowing sentence.

I do not know if whoever is her voice guide or producer or whoever is supposed to give her direction in how the characters are supposed to be feeling when they say certain things who is listening to this and telling her to do these awkward pauses and tone of voices that don't exactly fit the situation or circumstances. But they got to go in my opinion.

I am still looking forward to the next book. I just hope it doesn't take quite as long for the next book as it did between The First: Genesis and war of mortal gods took.

good continuation of the story
