In this Super Edition, discover the origins of the first leader of RiverClan—a mysterious cat whose desire for peace would help shape the dawn of the warrior Clans.

Still, as his new island home starts to become a sanctuary for other rogues, he can’t help but feel responsible for their safety, and for the community—and Clan—they are beginning to build. But when an old friend from the park resurfaces with terrible news just as the forest cats’ fights begin to escalate into bloodshed, the cat now known as Riverstar will have to decide which home he is truly committed to protecting: his new Clan or his old family.

All the reviews raise good points, but it’s still a decent story, if at the expense of the mystery that was River Ripple. The narrator was not bad at all, but Macleod Andrews is an impossible act to follow. Keep Macleod!

Most of the storyline could’ve been hatched in Dawn of the clans. This was a book that they really could have made special. They did not do this at all. They changed river start to be this insecure little wimp end. It doesn’t make sense why they did this. at this point, I’m just kind of expect that there is never gonna be any real character development. Because they’ve created this world where the cats have to have this complex society, and if they try to keep it in the realm for children, this is going to explain all the bad pacing, The lack of character development, and the lack of any kind of plot line. They just made me mad on this one. Because Riverstar could have been so awesome. In dawn of the clans, he wasn’t really into the conflicts that they try to create for themselves, he stood apart from it, but wouldn’t air of sophistication, and Mystique that they totally did not bring to the table when he had his super addition. They might as well have picked ivy pool or Misty star. It would’ve served a better purpose even though the books for them would’ve been absolutely horrendous. Bad job all the way around. Let me not get started on the narrator. I absolutely hate this guy. He screams, and he does it as loud as possible, he does not know how to differentiate characters, and he has just no ability to put emphasis on anything unless he screaming at the top of his lungs. Absolutely terrible. The sooner they get somebody else to read this, it will be to the betterment of our ears. Why they couldn’t get MacLeod Andrews I don’t know. Seriously this needs to be redone all together. As a matter fact, the Erin‘s need to re-publish this nonsense.

Why, why, why!!!

I got over the new voice, enjoyed it! There were complaints of it being a rehash of the dawn of the clans but I loved the other perspective it gave. Riverstar is my favorite character!!

It was hard to get used to the voice

I for one love the character of RiverRipple, in Dawn Of The Clan he was set up to be this wise outcast that was excepted by the clans. He was stripped of everything he loved. It made me feel sorry for him. As the book continues, RiverRipple always came back to the river. I love how Erin hunter showed how important the River is to RiverRipple and makes me show more respect for Riverclan. It makes sense why he like the River, he feels a connection to it more than any other cat has.

I like how this book is different from other special editions.
