Romantic

Something about the way this book was written was very romantic and with the audiobook's narration (Hamish Long and Zara Hampton-Brown both have gorgeous accents) this book became even more so. In this book, Tori needs to find a husband with royal blood because she and her ex broke up (mostly due to the fact that they didn't have much attraction to each other- it sounds like they are still very affectionate towards each other and his book is next so...) Adrian is the "Washed Up Royal" thus termed by the twitterverse, but throughout the book, he seems pretty gallant and he treats Tori really well. They first had an anonymous one night stand but couldn't forget each other. Luckily, they didn't have to! This is low angst although there is overall royal intrigue in the background. It will be interesting to see if this continues in the next few books of the series. Regardless, it was well written, well narrated and overall really fun. I'm really glad I got to listen to the book through Audible escape.

Washed up Royal

This was just what I was looking for! I wanted a Royal romance where a princess was looking for love (usually they are all about princes) I enjoyed seeing Tori show her rebellious side out of the public eye and I lived while they met. Adrien was her perfect Prince with his own critics to silence. So happy with how this worked out and now I can’t wait to read the next one.
