Mark Johnson's father had LOVE tattooed across his left hand, but that didn't stop the beatings. And yet he somehow found the strength to pull through, and now runs his own thriving tree-surgery business, employing and helping other recovering addicts.

it's like you're there with him

a very insightful an inspiring story Sure hold your attention and kind of takes you along with him I would highly recommend it

Inspiring

As an addict currently in recovery myself, this book inspires me to no end. Everyones bottom is different. This kid was amazing and the story he has of being a homeless addict, to a person in recovery that still works the 12 step program, gives back to others, and has taken himself to be a promising business owner is triumphant!!! One day at a time....

Triumph over tragedy

I was hooked from the first words spoken. This story is amazing how this person overcame a horrific start in life I am sure needs to be heard or read by many so they know they are not alone and that it really is possible. Do yourself a favour and have a listen you wont be sorry even though Mark doesn't read this the man that does makes you think that you are listening to Mark and are there with him telling you the story viewing his life through Mark's eyes.

Kind of Boring

I did not really like listening to this book. I did not like the narrators voice.
