Way Too Deep

“Way too deep.”

This is the phrase that Raheem and Jameela have used to describe the tight bond they have as friends. They’re not only friends, but they’re roommates too. While they both have lives and relationships outside their apartment, inside, it’s their private world all to themselves... much to the irritation of their respective partners.

Raheem and Jameela have just been good friends. It doesn’t matter how many times they explain it, Raheem’s boyfriend swears that a man and woman as tight as they are can’t just be good friends. He’s tired of them being “way too deep,” sowing seeds of doubt in Jameela’s relationship. Both relationships start spiraling out of control as jealousy, accusations, secrets, and wild feelings begin to rise to the surface.

With all the drama going on around them, the phrase “way too deep” takes on a whole new meaning for Raheem and Jameela as they’re not sure that their relationship— and more importantly, their friendship— will survive.
