There are more books than one could probably count detailing the goings on at the revolutionary era. From the war itself to players and characters and everything before and soon after, it’s a never ending trove of treasures.

This particular book focus narrowly on a boy coming of age in those times. There aren’t many accounts written from the perspective of Native Americans so this is a nice departure from the typical political leaning narratives we are accustomed to from that time.

It’s an easy read and can easy be done in even one sitting if one has the time and is so inclined. There are many educational and insightful things regarding Native life.

Character development is the only area I felt could use some help. Some of the characters needed a bit more background. Overall it was time and money well spent.

Easy reading story of pre revolutionary times and people.
