Marvelous suspense novel

We Are All Guilty Here is Book 1 in Karin Slaughter's newest series, North Falls. Slaughter is the current master of the suspense thriller and she is at her very best with this one.

The story is set in small southwest Georgia town of North Falls. The mystery is the deaths of two fifteen year old girls who were close friends. The main characters are two sisters, both in law enforcement, who had not seen or heard from each other for 40 years when both were teens. One of the sisters, Emmy Clifton, is the protagonist. More broadly it is the story of a the Clifton law enforcement family. The story is complex and there is a major plot twist near the end. If you liked Karin Slaughter's Will Trent and Grant County series you will love this novel.

As usual narrator Kathleen Early does a superb job.
