Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Forester Tara Grove is a master of her domain, but when she tracks poachers into a supernatural fog, she finds a new apex predator. Lurak, the werewolf alpha of the woods, ends her hunt with a swift, brutal capture. He is a king, and she is his prize.
In his cavern, she learns the truth. Her capture is not random. Lurak needs a mate strong enough to bear his heir for an ancient war against fanatic hunters. He demands total submission, his rough voice teaching her the dark pleasure of being possessed. To survive, she must become more than a captive. She must become his warrior queen.
Their victory demands a magical bond sealed by a bite. His vow to lock himself inside her is a physical reality, his body knotting to prove she is inescapably his.
This standalone book has themes of monster romance, forced proximity, primal play, breeding, knotting, captive to queen, touch her and you die, mating bite, human heroine and monster hero, and a happily ever after.
Possible Spoilers:
I have a small partiality for stories of werewolf male and human female mating. This has a story built into it.
The Virtual Voice narration wasn’t too bad. There’s an odd kind of “background taste” or “undertone” that’s electronic, but it’s bearable in short pieces like this.
werewolf male/human female
