Spend your winter on sunlit shores in the New York Times bestselling follow-up to Winter in Paradise, as secret lives and new loves emerge under the bright Caribbean sky.

A year ago, Irene Steele had the shock of her life: her loving husband, father to their grown sons and successful businessman, was killed in a helicopter crash. But that wasn't Irene's only shattering news: he'd also been leading a double life on the island of St. John, where another woman loved him, too.

Now Irene and her sons are back on St. John, determined to learn the truth about the mysterious life—and death—of a man they thought they knew. Along the way, they're about to learn some surprising truths about their own lives, and their futures.

Lush with the tropical details, romance, and drama that made Winter in Paradise a national bestseller, What Happens in Paradise is another immensely satisfying page-turner from one of America's most beloved and engaging storytellers.

"Once again, Hilderbrand demonstrates her mastery of immersive escapism with a carefully deployed pineapple-banana smoothie or the blue tile of an outdoor shower. . . .The absolute pleasure of the reading experience combined with a cliff-hanger ending will have readers anxiously awaiting the conclusion to the trilogy."—Booklist (starred review)

Excellent book. She needs to number her books when they follow another, so you can read the first one first. I had read the first Paradise book & knew that she would follow up with another. Since it was so far between books, had to go back & listen to the first one so I could remember. Now this second one comes out & she will have to follow up with another because she leaves you hanging. By the time she has the follow up, if like the first, will have to do the same again. Wish they were released closer together. It was very very good.

This doesn't resolve anything. It leaves every thing up in the air and the end feels like a disaster.

Frustrated

I actually loved this audiobook, it was quite surprising when the FBI came and said that they are going to seize the house late at night. I hope there is a book 3 where in Huck marries Irene. I can’t believe all this drama, and I’d like to hear more about how Rosie and the pilot and Russ were killed. Apparently, it was a bomb. I’d love to know more. Please let me know if there will be a book 3, I would love to hear it.
