odd but quite stellar in an unusual way

Interesting, and neither your basic cult story nor love story but somehow a unique blend of both. I enjoyed the author's unique figurative"voice" as well as the narrator's sexy British literal voice, and I am interested in hearing more of both...

Not a single leaf label character in the book.

There’s nobody to root for here. They’re all ridiculous people who do the dumbest things. There’s just nobody who keeps my attention. Spent the entire time being frustrated and hoping someone would do something smart.

Not his best

I would have to say that out of all the Mark Edwards books I have read, this is my least favorite.

the storyline

the only thing that slightly made a difference was the American accents. they took some getting used to because they weren't quite right lol

Thankfully not a sci-fi. Not my favorite Mark Edwards book but it was still decent enough to finish to the end.
