It’s said that darkness is deepest before morning… yet if the evil that now holds Potter’s Neck in its talons isn’t stopped… sunrise promises to dawn blood-red…

Both Vince and Veronica have disappeared, taken by two different vampire factions in their bid for ultimate power. Now, without Dracula’s strength or guidance, his allies must scramble to locate their missing comrades and stop Van Helsing and his allies before all is lost. It’s a race to create the Philosopher’s Stone now… and whomever wins shall receive the trophy of complete world domination.

Vince and Veronica are thrust into a psychic journey to learn how all the vampires in Potter’s Neck are connected. Triska and Father Patty are joined by a new arrival whose power is as great as their own… and she’s hell-bent on sending Van Helsing a deadly message… return Vlad or endure unimaginable suffering. General Potter and his allies crouch in darkness, plotting to seize power at the right moment… and a mysterious new arrival in town may hold the key to the entire puzzle in his addled memory.

Blood flows and fangs glisten in this exciting conclusion to an adventure that has twisted its way across six centuries! Will Dracula prevail and preserve the world or will his enemies consolidate their power and finally destroy the mighty Prince of Wallachia!

What more could you ask for. Relatable characters, everyday people in the midst of something extraordinary. The classic good versus evil with the good guys strategically fighting against the bad guys. This series also offers a bit of a history lesson in European warfare and settlements. Dynastic characters and their usage adds to the depth and plotline/subplots. That, though a bit concentrated at times, can be followed without a character map or note taking. Grammar and dialogue are eloquent to the point of poetic while giving aide to visual imagery! Making for a "movie in your mind" effect . This author is one of my new favorites and I sincerely hope that he continues with this series and it's loveable characters! Awesome find, I recommend!

Loved this series, paranormal adventure, found family, romance...

I was skeptical to start this series because I am NOT a horror fan, in fact I usually go out of my way to avoid horror stories. I am now officially a HUGE Scott W. Cook fan, I immensely enjoy his type of humor that I have found in every single book I have listened to = available in Audible (even this “horror” story series). I have recommended him to everyone that reads/listens and will continue to do so! Consume every he does even if you are unsure of the topic, you won’t regret it!!

No Horror fan? Me either, so be sure to read/listen anyway!

This was an exceptional series. I listened to all 4 novels back to back to back to back. I’ve also listened to several of Cook’s short stories, and will also check out the other series (plural) that are on audible. This series is exciting, funny, touching, and the narration is excellent as well. If you love history and vampires this series is for you. I hope you’ll check it out.

What a great series!!
