What the Bible Really Says About Tithing [Audio Version]

It might be unrealistic to try to write a book about what the Bible really says about tithing. But that is exactly what I have tried to do. The reason is because for several months I have felt like this is a book that the Lord has wanted me to write. However, I have resisted until now. Invariably I know that many people will disagree with some of the things that I have written. But in the pages that follow, every verse in the Old Testament and in the New Testament which says anything about tithing or about giving has been discussed. The honest intent has been to express what I believe the scriptures are really saying about tithing and also about giving to the local church, in general. It will be up to the reader to agree or disagree with what has been written. The hope is that the Lord will be pleased with the effort that has been put into this work. Ultimately, His truth is all that matters.

There is one note, however, to be made with respect to the organization of this text before concluding this Introduction. Something that the reader might find useful is boxes throughout that show the different passages that are being referenced at the times and in the places where they are being referenced. That way, he or she will not have to jump all over the place or get into or out of the scriptures to locate a particular reference. Hopefully that inclusion will help the reader in trying to understand the various events and to also quickly put them into their right context. So it is hoped that that addition will make this text easier to read and that the Lord will receive the praise, honor, and glory that He rightfully deserves.
