Maggie Mae vanished from her own home, leaving behind only her purse. No note. No warning. Just sudden absence — and the husband who found her gone, unsure what had driven her away.

Samantha Leary is called in to untangle the mystery, piecing together fragments of Maggie’s life: routines, friendships, and hidden pressures that may have shaped her choices. Every detail whispers control, manipulation, and the unseen forces that may have pushed her to disappear.

As Samantha digs deeper, the line between freedom and coercion blurs. The missing woman, the quiet house, the unspoken fears — everything points to a truth someone is desperate to keep buried.

A woman gone. A purse left behind. Samantha Leary must uncover the story Maggie took with her — before it’s lost forever.

I couldn’t put this book down. Maggie Mae’s story is heartbreaking, terrifying, and all too real. I felt the tension in every scene, the fear and desperation she experienced, and the suffocating control of her husband made me grip the pages tighter. Samantha and Greg’s investigation kept me hooked, but it was Maggie Mae herself who stayed with me long after I finished reading. This one left me thinking about it for days.

Heartbreaking and chilling
