Harold Bell Wright (1872-1944) was a Disciples of Christ minister. He traveled extensively and wrote about the goodness of mankind. After authoring That Printer of Udell's - a book that inspired Ronald Reagan - he wrote The Shepherd of the Hills, which has sold more than one million copies. Wright's ongoing battle with tuberculosis led him to settle in Imperial Valley, California, where he wrote The Winning of Barbara Worth. Very good

This book has depth I love it tells you how to be a true man

Great story by a great writer

I was recommended this author by a close friend. I decided to try him out and an very glad I did. The story had a very good plot. 5 stars

enjoyable listen

many surprises in the story, but all led to reasonal, happy ending. recommend to all who relate to old fashioned positive tales.

It’s okay

Some areas in the book were so wordy that you get swallowed up in, but perhaps this was due to the way it was narrated. The audio is rather tinny sounding in some parts. Storyline is alright, doesn’t stand out as Shepherd of the Hills, but it was interesting.
