Looking back to where I was in my marriage to now, I would tell anybody that your family dynamics matter. God answered my prayer after 40 long years, and meeting my family has changed my outlook. Yes, it did affect my way of thinking.
The way you think transforms to your decisions. I thank God that I had the wisdom to get out safely from the unordained marriage. Through all the hurt, embarrassments, shames, and disappointments God remained faithful. He showed me grace, mercy, and favor throughout the process.
