Book one, The Kittytubers Series

Justin Beiber meets The One and Only Ivan

Quiet on the set! Come behind the scenes of your favorite cat videos in this funny adventure for chapter book and intermediate readers.

On a glittering night of destiny, a cat star is born.

The Majestic Kennels, home to the famous cats of KittyTube, welcomes a new kitten, Angel Persian. Angel is eager to follow in the footsteps of her famous mother and father and become a Kittytube sensation.

You'll be there when Angel aces her first screen test. She opens her eyes - what will she see? She shivers - and charms - her way through her first snowstorm. Will Angel become a water cat, paddling around bathtubs or splashing in sinks of water, a piano cat, walking the black and white keys, a ghost cat, jumping out to frighten kids, or something new? Will this tiny kitten find her courage, and her audience on KittyTube? Will she have what it takes to win?

What will it take for this tiny kitten to become a star?

In this post-Justin Beiber world, on any given day, any kid can become famous. This tender book looks at the joys and pains of being in the public eye. Does fame make you happy?

There’s so much to love about this book. From Angel’s figuring out her place in the world of Kittywood, to her desire to help her family bring her dad home, to the subtle lesson that even those in competition can be friends and that ‘winning’ might mean something a little different to different people. The story is smart, the illustrations are sweet and the narration is strong (I bought both the ebook and the audiobook). I’m so glad this is a series because that means, it’s not over! Kids who love YouTube videos will appreciate the Kittytubers.

Sweet, Smart and Strong!
