Fast, Fun, With a Noir Feeling, WOW!

When Angelica says she wants to fly … one’s thoughts might go to brooms by the light of the moon…but in Bone Gap, “When Witches Fly”, they’re taught by Mark Sullivan, the former military man who runs the flight school at Bone Gap Municipal Airport. All is well until Mark gets microwaved inside a plane AND strange symbols start appearing … symbols ONLY Angelica can see! Clearly, evil’s afoot in Bone Gap and it’s up to Sage and the Wicked Witches of Bone Gap to stop it! They’re all here, delightful Sage, sassy Angelica, calm Lovage, Sheriff Emmet Quill (who I STILL wanna grab by the ear a time or three), Aunt Hecate who I ADORE, and Gabriel Nighthawk, a newcomer I won’t describe for fear of spoilers, PLUS so many other deliciously defined characters added to make this one work, and WOW, does it work! I love the delightfully dark, noir FEEL I got while listening! I was completely entertained AND completely ENTHRALLED, from beginning to end! I am in so deep with this series, these characters, their stories AND the continuity of this continuing arc! I am over the moon with how this entire presentation is being brought so beautifully, so brilliantly to LIFE! The character voicing is out of this world! Every character is beautifully represented in a way that fits their described personality to a “T”! Their emotions are expressed realistically AND the flow is perfection - truly giving exquisite voice to the authors brilliant vision! Those twisty turns, AND that stunner on one character (that must not be mentioned here), WOW! I can’t wait for the next one, which thankfully, I already have! As for “When Witches Fly”, a solid, stunning, five stars across all categories! Love, love, LOVE!
