Conversations between strangers

Bingley has returned to Netherfield but Darcy doesn’t. Elizabeth goes with her aunt and uncle for their summer trip. Upon stopping in a village to visit her aunt’s friends, Elizabeth strikes up a conversation with a grieving gentleman through a closed door. These conversations over several days helped the gentleman to process things that he has held tightly inside. Parts of the story are sad and can make one tearful for their circumstance, and then joyous when all is revealed. Overall, it is a sweet story.

Read it before and now listened to it. Cute little story about ODC and their HEA.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve listened to this one. It’s heartbreaking and wonderful. A conversation between two people each on the opposite side of a locked door, both with regrets and one with tremendous loss.

‘I wanted it to be you.’ Sigh.

It was a cute short story. The narrator wasn’t great though - she didn’t do Darcy justice.
