Deep in Radnor Forest, the magic of a captivating seeress is no match for unbridled, blazing desire.

Her heart belongs to the five children she has raised, all of them orphans from the Welsh-English war. Her beauty as enchanting as her magic, the proud Wynne ab Gruffydd, Seeress of Radnor, would wage war to protect her children, regardless of the cost to herself. When Sir Cleve FitzWarin is dispatched to Wales to reclaim his liege lord’s orphaned offspring - and secure the handsome riches that come with his success - he meets Wynne head-on and quickly finds himself ensnared in her magical trap. But Cleve has ungodly powers of his own - powers that lay siege to Wynne’s heart and threaten her resolve. Girded for battle, they vow to vanquish each other, but will raw, consuming passion defeat them both?

This story could have ysed more editing. It took way too many repeated dilemmas to get to the end. My attention began to wander by the fiest 1/3 of the book.

The narrator did a good job with the children's accents, she has a pleasing voice.

Could not go forward with the book. The story was an interesting premise but perhaps if there was another narrator it may have been more engaging but it dragged. I dont understand the criteria used for choosing a narrator. Although not a bad recitation in itself, this narrator was not the perfect fit because she didn't have a Welsh accent. The story obviously required a person with that skill since it takes place in Wales. It's very much a part of the story and the performance is one aspect of it. It was distracting to say the least. I am not quibbling here and Im sorry for that. These audiobooks are not inexpensive and one expects a certain delivery. I regret I cannot give a true accounting for the actual book itself, writing of it and the storyline. So it may well have been a good read. I will never know. I hope to get my credit back.
