In a fading town, far from anyone he knew or trusted, a young Lemony Snicket began his apprenticeship in an organization nobody knows about. He began asking questions that shouldn't have been on his mind. In this title, he has written an account that should not be published and shouldn't be listened to.

Since the end of "A series of Unfortunate events" Lemony Snicket's readers have had many pressing questions. What is the 'Great Unknown'? Who is Lemony Snicket anyway? and what happened before the VFD schism? Many hope that these questions and more will be answered in his new Series "All the Wrong Questions".

'Who Could That Be at this Hour' is an example of Lemony Snicket's immensely eclectic mind and sense of humour. This book is set chronologically before "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and catalogues Snicket's intriguing apprenticeship to the VFD.

With engaging characters such as Moxie Mallahan, the Amateur Reporter of Stain'd-by-the-sea and S. Theodora Markson, Lemony Snicket's chaperone, this book is an interesting read or listen for upper Primary, through to teenagers as it provides a mysterious and surprising plot.

I love this story. It has the same quirky sense of humor that I love so much in A Series of Unfortunate Events, with deep truths about humanity woven casually into a very interesting story with great characters.

Liam Aiken is a pleasure to listen to.

the genius I have come to expect from Snicket

The family was loving listening to this book on our vacation but then the Audible Guy interrupted. We all blurted out, "What?!" when he announced that he hoped we enjoyed the audiobook.

No problem; I'll just get the next one. But there is a problem. It's not available in my region! Ugh! That's not even fair.

Here is where you'd see the part of my review that's actually about the book but unfortunately it isn't available in your region.

Great story but like this headline it ended too...
