Charlie Birch is dead. A knife, thrust into his chest, has effortlessly sliced through his right ventricle, quite literally breaking his heart, which given his past behaviour, was perhaps a fitting end.

An unexpected chain of events had placed a desperate Charlie and many of the Middle Mound villagers in the White Hart pub that morning. Then Charlie decided to hold them all hostage. That was his last mistake.

DS Sally Carter had been sent to Middle Mound to investigate an abandoned bus and several missing villagers, but instead finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation. Having grown up in the village, she knows many of the suspects from her youth. All the clues are there, but will she catch the killer?

Suspenseful

What a story that kept me intrigued. Once the Narrator started speaking, I was completely engrossed with the book. You feel as if you could help solve the mystery.

Most interesting tour I have every taken

MK Turner surprised me with Who Killed Carlie Birch. I was given an Audible code so I could enjoy this book. To that end Lee Beddow did his customary stellar work with the characters and emotion angst in this work. This book is written in a style..MK calls a murder tour...what an adventure. It took me a bit to adjust to the shift in style. I think that audio is a great format for this book....i am not sure I would have finished it in a different format. That being said it was an exciting experience especially at the end...what an absolute SURPRISE!!!! I am hoping now to find more Who Donit books like this. I am grateful that I had this murder tour journey.....honestly Who Killed Charlie Birch?....Take the time to find your twisted way to that answer.

Everybody is a suspect because they all hate the despicable Charlie Birch.

Lee Beddow does a good job narrating.
