Tessa O’Connell has everything she could possibly want. She’s engaged, she has her dream job working at a bookstore, and she’s going to be the maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding next month.

Montgomery “Monty” Ford has everything she could possibly want. She’s getting married in June, she worked hard to achieve her dream job as a librarian, and she’s helping her best friend plan her wedding for next year.

Unfortunately, plans go seriously awry when Monty’s fiancé ends up being a cheating loser and Tessa’s engagement falls apart. The plans they made so carefully are in complete shambles, and they’re both at a loss for how to move forward.

Tessa and Monty turn to one another to try and pick up the pieces, and what starts as an attempt to use each other for dating practice turns into something they never saw coming - that will change everything they know about themselves and each other.

What happens when it turns out the one you really want has been standing in front of you the whole time?

to give this one two stars. I think it would have made a good novella, but to make it to seven hours required a lot of added minutiae as well as a great many tangential forays. Then there was the narrator Jessica Morgan; it sounded as if she were attempting to imitate the voice of a whiny teenager. In the end I quit, giving up on the the last two hours and walking away. The author has done some excellent work in the past, (Style, Chord, Dirty Girl) this book isn't close to that level, and this narrator would bring down even an excellent story.

I’m not one to write negative reviews but this was the worst narration I have seen. The narrator sounds like a 13 year old. The whiny voice is really hard to listen to and I didn’t even make it to chapter 2. Chelsea Cameron I am sorry for the bad review your books are always so amazing, but please consider another narrator next time. Jessica Morgan- I’m really sorry I don’t want this review to hurt your feelings. I just think your voice is better suited for children’s books or YA. Hope this helps.
