Mandy Kirkpatrick, once a celebrated artist, grapples with the requirements of an overwhelmed husband, three out-of-control children, and a demanding congregation. She attempts to meet the expectations of each person, but as the stress of her family and the congregation weigh heavily upon her, all Mandy wants to do is return to her life as an artist.

Amidst the chaos of her family and the pressures of the church, Amanda reads a book which sends her on a journey of self-discovery. Fueled by her newfound understanding of motivational gifts, she seeks to speak to her husband in an attempt to bring about a change both within their marriage and in the church.

But can she share these findings with Owen? Will they be able to bring about the necessary changes without sacrificing her family and marriage? Who is the real Amanda anyway? Is she meant to be Amanda, the artist, or Mandy the minister's wife? Will she and Owen be able to bring happiness and fulfillment to their marriage as well as to the congregation? Or are the differences too great to be overcome?
