The first book in Dorothy L Sayers' classic Lord Peter Wimsey series - a must-listen for fans of Agatha Christie's Poirot and Margery Allingham's Campion Mysteries.

It was the body of a tall stout man. On his dead face, a handsome pair of gold pince-nez mocked death with grotesque elegance.

The body wore nothing else.

Lord Peter Wimsey knew immediately what the corpse was supposed to be. His problem was to find out whose body had found its way into Mr Alfred Thipps' Battersea bathroom.

Loved the complexity of the plot as well the distinctive depiction of each of the story’s characters. The narrator gives us a clear sense of the characters as individuals of their time while making them relatable to ours.

Great Story and an impeccable performance!

I have been looking for a good audio version of the Lord Peter Wimsey stories and this is perfect. There seem to be only three stories with this narrator, though. I wonder if we can expect more?

Can we please have more with this narrator!

Finally a great narration with all the subtle humor preserved and shining quietly through the whole. I hope the whole Lord Peter series could be re-done with this narrator.

Beautifully done
