She was love in its purest form. A woman who gave until there was nothing left to give, who lifted others even as life weighed her down, who believed that love was a force stronger than pain. And yet, pain found her. Suffering knocked, and it did not leave. Surgery after surgery. Loss after loss. Betrayal after betrayal. Until, finally, death came. And I was left with nothing but memories and questions.
Why does suffering find the kindest hearts? Why does God, who sees and knows all, allow the most faithful to endure the deepest wounds? Why does love, no matter how pure, seem so powerless against the cruelty of this world?

And through their stories, and through mine, we will search for the flicker of redemption hidden in the ashes.
Because pain does not get the final word. Love does. Because even in the darkest night, God is not absent. He is writing a story greater than we can see. And though the journey may be filled with tears, I believe that somewhere, beyond the pain, there is still hope.
This is my journey. This is my search for meaning in the madness. And if you are walking through your own valley of suffering, then let us walk together.
Because even in the deepest sorrow, God is still here. And love is never wasted.
