Hot second chance

This is a fast passed book about second chances where you least expect it. Kat and Alex fell in love as young teenagers and it just wasn't meant to be. Fast forward 13 years and they are adults and living life but for Alex he just could never let Kat completely go. Now he finds that she is in trouble and he is determined to save her. Kat is own her own so when Alex shows up after she finds herself in danger she is first determined she doesn't need his help but those feelings from long ago are still there so she finally agrees and it will lead her to a future she didn't know she had.

Jason Clarke and Shammen McCune and so good as Alex and Kat. I love listening to Jason and he does a great job with this book. This was my first time listening to Shammen and I enjoyed her voice. She did a great job telling Kat's side of the story.

I loved listening to this book and highly recommend it.

Shammen McCune's voice is in a well sound.

I always enjoy my boyfriend book narrator, Jason Clarke. The story was intriguing and very hot.
I just couldn't get past the female narrative. Otherwise the story is great.

Wicked - Fiery - Passionate 2nd chance!

Alex has always been mysterious, so it was really great to get to know him better. There have been references in the previous books to his disaster of a marriage and his ex-wife. Kat is a kick-ass heroine who is a loaner determine to be independent. 13 years ago they divorced in a very messy, dysfunctional, juvenile manner. Now they are older, more mature, and neither of them ever let go and moved on. Both have some very troubling family dynamics littering their past. Alex & Kat are the perfect example of the right person at the wrong time. They have some rather huge obstacles to overcome that require communication, maturity, and letting go of some long-held stubbornness.

Jason Clarke is excellent, as always! I chose this series because he is my favorite narrator and he definitely delivered in this story with that sexy growly voice we all know and love, but also the tender, sensual moments as well! Shammen is a new narrator for me, but she did an excellent job and I would definitely listen to her again. This was a tough role and she delivered.

Another great addition to the series!

Great--and HOT--second chance love!

Alex and Kat had a great story. Married early, and divorced soon after, Alex and Kat haven't seen one another in 13 years. Each going their separate ways and forging ahead in their lives. Alex, a successful partner in a venture capital firm w/his best friends, and Kat, a waitress working in a bar. Their lives seem fine, until fate brings them back together.

I don't want to give any spoilers, but I really loved their second chance story. Outside forces affected their short-lived marriage, but now they're more mature and have the ability to see the past for what it was. Alex and Kat have plenty heat between them, and WOW!!!

Jason Clarke is his amazing self w/his wonderful narration.
