Nothing Left to Lose

Her back to the wall, Antigone Baines must uncover those responsible for an attempt on the unlife of Prince Calebros and her own exile from the Tremere Pyramid. As she gathers up the shards of the conspiracy known as the Conventicle, Antigone must discern who can be trusted and forge that remnant into a weapon that might save her and her regent. Time is running out, however, and if she cannot find vindication in the judgment of the living, she must seek it in the redemption of her dead.

I did it. it's finally over. It was so hard to finish. The main character was so annoying and unlovable. Don't get me wrong, I really like the writing and everything else or I wouldn't have spent credits on the trilogy. But the main character and some of the main supporting characters were just awful. They were not badly written but just the personalities were unlikeable.

Really unlovable MC

Widow’s Might by Eric Griffin is a great Fantasy Horror story. Cathi Colas did a great job with the narration. The story is interesting, well written, entertaining, engaging, and more. Widow’s Might is the third book in Clan Novel: Tremere Trilogy. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

If you've read the first two this feels like a satisfying enough continuation. I appreciate that this trilogy has real continuity (within themselves) and not just rebooting each book for new readers. The noir elements with metaphysical magic stuff is rich and the best part of the book. Vampire the Masquerade still feels formidable for a novice and even after reading a few mythos books including ending the trilogy I still feel like I haven't found a good 'jumping on point;' but these books also seem auxiliary to that world. Here the ending felt a little disappointing but also seems like it ends in a way that fits the tone and vibe of the trilogy. Narrator Cathi Colas finishes out her reading and is a wonderful narrator with a maternal feminine energy well fit for the material.

Magic Heavy Noir Ends
