A THRILLING START, A STEAMY CENTER & A CLIFFY END

I love love love Penelope Sky’s stories, I’ve got just about all of her audiobooks released and I cannot contain my excitement when a new book of hers is release.. however, I do get fed-up being drip-fed these very addictive stories. So, even though I’ve had this book in my library since it’s release date, I’ve resisted listening to it because I wanted to hear the Betrothed series from start to finish in one sitting. And my plan was working well until yesterday!! when I finally caved and started listening to it.. and now I’m utterly, completely and annoyingly hooked.

Hooked into a push ‘n pull sexy story about Sofia, a strong young woman who, on witnessing her parent’s dysfunctional abusive marriage, absolutely wants nothing to do with love.. not even when a handsome, sexy Kingpin Drug Dealer sweeps her off her feet. Hades rates 11 out of 10 for his masterful (and plentiful) bedroom skills, kills to protect her and offers her the ultimate commitment.. but Hades has always been a ‘no strings’ Player and now he’s met his match. So he treads carefully.. but how can he convince Sofia to lower those impenetrable walls.. or maybe the Gypsy Teller was right all those years ago when she read his cards which promised heartache.

Worth a credit? Yes definitely.. and I’m quickly writing this review as books 2 and 3 in the series are being downloaded because they’re that good, that addictive, that emotionally compelling and that well-written paced and weaved. The chemistry is undeniable, the sex is plentiful, the characters have depth and the passion purrs along nicely. Awesome narration too. But I wish wish wish they were just released as trilogies instead of going on and on over 4, 5 or 6 books (4 for this couple).. or, as with some of her previous series, Audible never quite gives us the last few books in the series before starting a brand new one. But sigh, I love Penelope’s work and, as a fan, I guess I’ll just have to patiently wait after each cliffhanger ending, ponder the next one’s release date, pray its imminent and hit play the minute it’s released.

Strong female lead

I really enjoyed this audiobook and can’t wait to start book 2. Great story and the narrator’s were great. You really can’t go wrong with a Penelope Sky book. I would definitely recommend this one.

Interesting storyline

Had a difficult time listening to the MMC voice. I almost didn’t finish the book. But the storyline kept my attention…. not necessarily enough to read the second book though.

Amazing

When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Penelope Sky is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to listen more of there books.Keep up the great work.You should definitely listen this book.Can't wait for the next book.

DELIVER ME FROM THIS FEMALE NARRATION

I rarely review books anymore however PS is one of my favorite writers but this book has been ruined by the narration of Lia. She has a nice voice but for content not dialogue. She is VERY DRAMATIC AND ROBOTIC and I hate it but now I have 7 books in this series to be tortured through. This is not a series I would keep because I couldn’t deal with the narration so I won’t listen a second time . On to book two and I’m not as excited as I would be if it was Samantha,Andi,Erin,Maxine or Wesleigh reading Sophia. MICHAEL F WAS STELLAR AS USUAL 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
