Sunny Monson was counting down the hours until her boyfriend, Lane Porter, returned home from college for the summer. He had completed all of his credentials in order to become a pharmacist and now just had to pass the Utah state board exam in order to start his chosen career. She had been in love with him for more years than she cared to admit...and hoped now that he was finished with his schooling they could hopefully get engaged and begin a life together.

Sunny was walking through the large field of sunflowers across from her home and enjoyed picking a flower so she could play a little game, 'he loves me, he loves me not,' as she pulled each petal off the lovely flower. Today the last petal ended with he loves me not...and she wondered if it was an omen warning her of what her future might hold! She threw the petal down and reminded herself it was only a silly game...or was it?

I enjoyed this book. We all have relationships that may not turn out the way we want them to, and I liked the way the author wrote the character's feelings. This book was a different change for the author, and it still kept my attention!
