Just didn’t get it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love stuff like this, the creepier the better, the most bizarre stories stay with me forever. However, this was not it. Winter Wonderland by Matthew A Clarke and narrated by Jason Beamish is just around 25 short chapters of supernatural, suspense, thriller and fantasy as the author puts it. Themes such as loss, love and friendship are advertised with this book but it was hard to find any of them in this short novella. People are disappearing and the main character hates Christmas because her daughter died during the season. I just got that they need to find the spirit of Christmas. It was hard to finish and I had to go back several times as I lost interest over and over again. Will still give this author another chance and read some other stuff from him. Hopefully I will find something more up my alley.
