Machinery Technician Third Class Eric Hagen of the US Coast Guard abandons his post out of Jacksonville, Florida, after his whole world is transformed. The streets are teeming with crazed people, possessed by an insatiable appetite for human flesh. He soon learns that these manic people are not what they appear - they are undead. Traveling north in a post-apocalyptic world, Eric leads a team of four to Baltimore, Maryland, in search of his family, and in the process forms a family of his own. The cold winter months provide some relief from the undead, but Eric soon realizes that dangers from within his newly-formed family are just as deadly as the perils outside.

Good horror.

I enjoyed the horror. The narrator could have been a little decisive. A very good read, highly recommend for horror fans.

A Good, Solid zombie story! This is the kind of story where you have lots of action, a good story line to follow, human battle, still food human beings willing to be good and most of all....Lots of Zombie action! to often writers are coming out with all kinds of additives to make their story work, yet they are looking the integrity of a solid enjoyable story. I can accept change but we all know what additives do to us! Yep, you have a new fan Mr. Deyo!
As for your narrator, you too have a new fan...very well don't! I applaud you both!

Maybe its just me being burnt out on Z fiction but the book just seemed a mish mash of the same ole thing. As expected, to be continued but I won't be following the series if that is where it is headed. Just not interesting enough. And if it is not the start of a series then wtf? Aren't stories supposed to have a beginning, middle and end? Great book if on sale otherwise a terrific example of why Audible has a reasonable refund policy.
As I stated, could just be me and never judge a book by a single review.
Now go hear a book!

Love it from start to finish

Fantastic audible book to have simply because of its unique story-line that can surely make you want to listen to it more. I literally finish listening to it in a day. Well done!
