Fast-paced novella

This was a fast-paced novella, it starts off quick and doesn’t stop.

A lot of world-building happens, so it was a little easy to get lost towards the beginning. But the story line hooked me and I was interested in what was happening and to learn more about all the magical elements. I do wish the story had been a bit longer so everything could have been expanded, though.

I listened to this as an audiobook and it was narrated by the author and his accent fit the vibe of the story so well. The different intonations of all the characters helped them all come to life! Ready for the next volume.

Interesting World

This fast-paced novella introduces a world where magic is fading, but a new force, Death magic, threatens everything. The blend of Sun & Moon, Nature, Chaos, and Blood magic creates an intriguing system, and Sophia stands out as a strong, compelling lead. I especially loved Squeak, her mischievous little companion! Narrator Wix Solis brings the characters to life with distinct voices and an engaging performance, enhancing the story's emotional depth. While world-building has excellent potential, some aspects feel a bit underdeveloped. Still, the immersive narration and compelling characters kept me hooked. A solid fantasy adventure that leaves you eager for more.
