In the city of Martins, one seductive witch, Epiphany, has no stitches. She is summoned by her demon master, a powerful player in the Underrealm, to assemble the pieces necessary for his own special black mass. She will get what he desires through her skillful use of magic, sex, and violence.

The demon has chosen a young virgin girl for his sacrifice. Now her desperate mother, Abigail, who knows nothing about witches or black magic, must save her.

As the days of October funnel away, many teens of the city disappear. The Chief of Police and his top investigator are baffled by the events. With each passing hour they are led to conclusions that defy logic.

With the aid of a wickedly wise cat and a man who time forgot, Abigail formulates a plan to spare her daughter.

Excellent book! Great characters. Funny yet suspenseful. Couldn't wait for the next chapter. Love Epiphany! Can't wait for the sequel.

Strong start, bogs down in the middle

I was caught right at the start. I wanted to know what happened and I enjoyed the main villian -- I found myself chuckling at her h7umor which wouldn't be anyone. Unfortuantely after a strong start, the stroy bogs down around the middle of the book. I think it was too many scenes with many new characters, pulled the pacing down.
