When the opportunity to become a war correspondent opens at her news agency, journalist Nicole Sheppard jumps at the chance to go to Ukraine. Her lifelong goal to gather news firsthand in the heat of battle and to test her mettle against the turbulence of war will finally be realized.

What she doesn’t anticipate is having her heart and emotions tested as well when she meets the beautiful French doctor, Marie Dubois. As Nicole dodges bullets and Marie extracts them from the wounded, the two women struggle against a growing attraction to one another.

But when Nicole and Marie are kidnapped by a ruthless Russian mercenary, they must work together to find a way to escape. The only thing they can’t escape is falling in love.
