Love the mystery on the Island

I knew I’d love this story and from the very beginning I was hooked.
Following on from Book 1 this story tells Willa and Sawyer’s journey with its many ups and downs and heartbreak.
Being whisked off the island in tragic circumstances as a teenager, Willa returns many years later to try and regain her memory and start living again.
Never expecting the inheritance she is given, things start to go wrong for her, but there is one constant in her life that she can always rely on.
That is the teenage boy who saved her all those years ago and that she has crushed on forever.
Sawyer, honourably discharged from the navy comes home to Hatterwick as his best friend Jace (Willa’s brother) asks him to watch over her due to her granddad’s passing.
He has secretly loved Willa for years and due to the bro code never took it any further, but once on the island their lives entwine and true feelings are voiced.
The danger is getting closer to her and a part of the mystery disappearance many years ago is also revealed.
Such a wonderful storyline and I adored the characters, old and new.
Can’t wait for the next story to reveal more.
I listened to the audiobook that was narrated by Amy McFadden and Ryan West.
I loved their expressive performances, which kept me engaged throughout the whole story.

Great new series

Willa and Sawyer have known each other for years and have crushed secretly on each other, too. Sawyer is Willa's brother's friend and there's an age gap but now that they are older, it's not a big deal. Before Sawyer left the island, he saved Willa from drowning and brought her back to life. Now Sawyer is back on the island after being discharged because of an injury. Due to unforseen circumstances, Willa and Sawyer have a marriage of convenience that everyone believes because they can see that the couple are really in love with each other. There's sususpense, danger and romance in this story. I'm looking forward to the next book. It's always a great listen with Ryan West and Amy McFadden narrating.

Weird Ending

If O’Shea was responsible for logistics you’d think that a danger still existed. Why wouldn’t the story mention that anymore. This is a very important mis-step. Incomplete story line.

Loved it

This is a random find but 100% glad I found it. I was sucked in the first chapter and I loved how it was predictable. Wish I would listen to it again for the first time
