The fountainhead is, in my opinion, Ayn Rand's best novel. I don't like anything else by her, but the story of Wright was very compelling. I was thrilled to his story in a way that didn't feel like it was meant to make some deeper ideological point. This play is much more about who Wright was and not what Wright meant.

It captures a lot about what made him distinct and some of the challenges he faced, but unlike Rand, these writers make him feel like a much more flesh and blood person, and not a superhero. His humanity feels intact. You don't walk away, thinking he's a particularly great person… But you definitely realize that his life is worth trying to understand. The last act is particularly compelling.

Fascinating take on Wright

I learned things about Frank Lloyd Wright that I never knew. the acting was worthwhile and enjoyable. the L. A. Theater works does a great job bringing people to life. This is a good way for high school students to learn about those who have gone before, in a way that enlightens the mind.

We listened to this on our way to Falling Waters in Pennsylvania. We then purchased Up Close Frank Lloyd Wright by Jan Adkins at the gift store and discovered how inaccurate this drama is.

Fun to listen to buy not accurate about F L w life.
