He believed that finding out why Ezequiel Simmonds framed Shy for the murder was the key to it all. Despite the assurances he’d received from the Ferreira Brothers, Black remained unconvinced. Shy had worked hard to change her life and go legitimate, and it seemed like it was all slipping away. She was under investigation for a murder that she didn’t commit, and now somebody was trying to kill them. Those responsible will soon feel their wrath.
