Believable, intriguing...

Intriguing detailed story. Well developed believable characters and plot. Kept me reading or listening steadily. (I mostly listened)

The only critique I'd offer is the vocal cadence used by the reader of You Can Tell Me.

I almost returned it shortly after beginning to listen to the audiobook because of the reader's po-dunk sounding vocal cadence. But the story quickly became too good to miss out on. (I prefer to listen while doing other things during the day rather than sitting down to read)

The author, however, may well have instructed the reader to use the (in my view) clunky cadence.

Perhaps it was supposed to mimic a true crime podcast(?)

Anyway, this novel is excellent & it's great that it was listed with "Listen with Kindle Unlimited".

I recommend it highly.

Brilliant start to a new series

Welcome back to Scarlett Falls. This new series stars Olivia Cruz, her family and friends. In this book, the story is about her friend Zoe who has disappeared. What happened to Zoe? What will happen when they find Zoe? The solo narration by Mandy Figueroa was spectacular. She portrayed each and every character perfectly.

Made for a great road trip

Listened to this on a road trip. Mysteries in mysteries in this one. You have yo wait up see if they tie together or if they are just something else that turned up in the investigation.

enthralling

enjoyed the story, kept my interest, read in one sitting, gave low mark for narration, felt AI generated, lacked the drama, narration was monotonal with weird pauses at end of each sentence which was distracting, I prefer past narrators of Melinda Leigh books

Audible was terrible

I loved the story but the breaks in the words listening to it made it almost unbearable. Every three words there was a space. So irritating!
