Eight years later, Pip is a successful actor and a father. He returns to London, hoping to rekindle their relationship.
Sabba is a respected child therapist with one son. She’s fiercely independent, thanks in part to her family’s support. After all, she had to be - he broke her heart.

But things aren’t as simple as they seem. An unexpected meeting brings up secrets neither wants to share. The real question is whether Pip can win Sabba back now that she’s older, wiser, and more guarded - and whether Sabba can let her heart open again.

Neither family knows about their past, but when they end up spending most of the summer together, old feelings start to resurface. To complicate things further, Sabba’s young son develops a boyish crush on Pip, which doesn’t bode well.

This is a funny, romantic story about modern love, family, and all the unexpected twists that come with them.
