Join Richard on his quest to overcome a crushing fear of public speaking and discover the secrets of successful communication. His adventure reveals the insights he gained while living in a Tibetan monastery in India where he learned nonverbal communication from monks, then studying storytelling and stage presence at a prestigious London acting school, giving 1,000 business presentations for a Formula One racing team and teaching 50,000 clients all over the world. You'll discover everything he has learned in his 23-year journey while building a multi-million-pound communication training company, including the tools one client used to gain £1.2 billion in new business in just one year, winning every single bid they pitched for. This personal journey is filled with practical strategies that you can apply immediately to transform your success.

Newman tells stories and walks you through in real time what you can do to be a better communicator. Not only is he easy to follow but the activities he has you do are memorable and accessible when needed. He shares his own stories of failure in a way that makes you lean in to listen and ponder the solution yourself. I found myself listening and wondering to myself, "what would I do in that situation?" Then he would provide an answer that sounded reasonable and productive. I very much enjoyed listening to Newman read his book and
I'm already benefiting from using the techniques that he suggested.

There's a story for that!

I really appreciate the perspective and actionable content in this book. I have observed over the years the relative performance of quality communicators over quality thinkers (who are not blessed with good communication skills) to the detriment of the companies assessing whose advice to take. This book is the first I’ve read that states clearly why those with good ideas have the obligation to ensure their message is heard well and teaches in an understandable way how to go about improving their communication ability. Thank you for writing it, I look forward to putting this book into practice and improving my ability to both persuade and empathize more effectively.

Great perspective on importance of quality communication
