Newman tells stories and walks you through in real time what you can do to be a better communicator. Not only is he easy to follow but the activities he has you do are memorable and accessible when needed. He shares his own stories of failure in a way that makes you lean in to listen and ponder the solution yourself. I found myself listening and wondering to myself, "what would I do in that situation?" Great perspective on importance of quality communication

I really appreciate the perspective and actionable content in this book. I have observed over the years the relative performance of quality communicators over quality thinkers (who are not blessed with good communication skills) to the detriment of the companies assessing whose advice to take. This book is the first I’ve read that states clearly why those with good ideas have the obligation to ensure their message is heard well and teaches in an understandable way how to go about improving their communication ability.
