I thought this was a nice introduction for what those new to teaching have in store for them, but isn't a how-to manual though. To really learn the nuts and bolts of teaching, I think one needs to read a book like The First Days of School. However, this text does offer good advice to the novice and definitely breeds the excitement of that unforgettable first year teaching.
