Insight and Instruction for a Satisfying Life

This is a book I will return to again and again when I need a pick-me-up. It's filled with warmth, wisdom, humor, and uplifting encouragement. As I listened, I felt like a trusted friend was purging all negativity and doubt from me. Based on the experiences she shares, I can see where her strength and wisdom comes from. Overall, I got a lot from this book. What's different for me about her books and her speaking engagements (I've heard her speak at a conference before) is that her motivation and exercises manage to stick with me. My thinking HAS been altered. My life HAS been changed. For instance, I continue to do the "mirror" exercise (when I'm not looking my best), I'm more appreciative, and I'm speaking more kindly to myself. The next time I listen, I'll keep a notebook handy so I can capture a few of her great quotes!

Perfect timing when my life changed 180 degrees

So I’m going through one of the toughest times in life. I just deleted the novel I wrote on here because really, you have your own stuff going on and don’t need mine added to it. Lol.

I want to say this book has helped me pull up my big girl panties and do what needs to be done. Well, I’m in the process. It’s only been a week since my yuck happened. But if you are feeling, lost, alone, without direction, numb, full of anxiety and have zero idea what to do (all of which I am doggie paddling through) download this book. Listen to it. Currently listening to it for the third time.

Inspirational, but not instructional. If you are looking for uplift, it's pretty good. If you are looking for a plan, this is not the book for you.

Top-notch content & narration

I listened to this audiobook while on vacation. Usually I opt for “beach novels” but I felt compelled to try something more cerebral. So glad I did! Margie has given me a needed nudge to expand my aspirations and get moving!
