"FIGHT THE DEAD. FEAR THE LIVING. FOLLOW ELAINE."

In the aftermath of a devastating pandemic that transformed half the world's population into undead "Zits," Elaine and her band of survivors continue their struggle for existence in a radically altered America. Having established their fortified castle compound, they now face new threats as organized militia groups led by the ruthless Jack and Yan begin targeting survivor communities. Family and friends come together to fight for what is theirs in love and life. See how they once again DIY THE APOCALYPSE.

Elaine and her family and friends are just trying to survive during the zombie apocalypse. They have set themselves up in a castle in Louisiana...a castle, complete with a moat! Her husband, Johnny, is in contact with other survivors throughout the country by way of radio communication.

When they learn of an army of men, led by the sadistic Jack Childress and his partner, Yan, they begin to prepare for the worst. Some will survive, but some will also die as they struggle to protect those they love.

The story moves at a fast pace, but be aware that there are a lot of characters to keep track of. Also, this is more of a survival story with very little Zombie action. I appreciate that the author is continuing this tale in the tradition of one of my favorite zompoc authors, Javan Bonds (who is even mentioned in this book).

The narrator is one of my favorites and his performance really brings the story to life. I hope that the author continues to follow these inspiring survivors during the horrors of the zompoc.
