Invading troops with deadly virus. A young man fighting for his life. Will flesh-eating monsters run out the clock on America’s future?

Northern California, 1985.

Former high school quarterback Leo Cecchino sacrificed his dreams for his family. Unfulfilled by the daily grind of their ailing farm, he can’t help but feel resentment. But, he’s soon redirecting his smoldering frustration into battle rage when his small town is invaded by bloodthirsty Russians armed with a zombie virus.

Forced from his home to a secret hideaway, Leo tries desperately to spread the word and defend his country. But, with the Soviets and their ravenous puppets firmly in control, it may rest on Leo and his hastily created counterattack playbook to save them all from a grisly death.

Can Leo snatch victory from the undead jaws of defeat?

A bit boring either due to the narrator or just meh writing. personally had to play on 1.5 through the first book to keep my attention.

While listening I constantly had to wonder why the football dudes were acting weak and scared like they're supposed to have a middle mentality, then the girls are either athletic feminist goddesses and/or genius.

I finished all 3 of these in only 8 days! I absolutely love everything Camille has written. Adding an LGBTQ+ character is so rare in post-apocalyptic books and it was awesome to see it! Represention matters and Camille knocks it out of the park. Thankfully book 4 is already out because I am hooked!

Love them as usual!

I used a credit and got the boxed set. I hated this series and kept saying this in my head numerous times as I listened. It was not a good storyline, the characters were children that somehow knew how to shoot and rap one like they had military backgrounds. The narrator’s voice almost killed on multiple occasions. I made myself finish bc I wasted a credit and am upset with myself. As for the story…Russians arrive by Greyhound and take over America, yes it’s comical. They have assault weapons on the buses and start taking over…..

I hated it

This box set includes the first 3 books in the Zommunist Invasion series. Camille Picott brings the action in each book with well-developed characters, plot, and world-building. The story moves at a good pace and keeps you wanting more! Audio Version: This is the first time I have listened to Al Kessel and he does a decent job. Some characters sound very similar though but he does bring the story to life.

Camille Picott brings action to life!

I enjoy this mostly. Don’t like the romance angels of it. Aslong as to much time isn’t spent on romance. A lot of times in apocalypse theme series. To much time is spent on romance. The zombies evolving was great. The Russian invasion parts was cool. I even enjoy the LGBT aspects of the story. The author connects it really well. I would recommend this series to zombie fans.

Overall good.
