"…will leave even the most stalwart horror fans sleeping with the lights on."
—K.C. Finn for Readers’ Favorite

Wrong place, wrong time.

Eighteen voices share their harrowing encounters with the uncanny, the grotesque, and the utterly inexplicable.

Stories of old gods and new nightmares, of the evil men do, and of the terrors lingering in the dark. A young woman's horrifying discovery in her roommate, a family's legacy of guarding a monstrous secret, a man's desperate flight from a ravenous beast—each story is a descent into fear, madness, and the realization that the world is far more terrifying than we ever imagined.

Journey into the darkness, but remember, these witnesses carry a burden you may not want to share.

Zone Rogue is an interesting collection that captures the eerie, unpredictable vibe of The Twilight Zone. Some stories feel like someone rambling on, but if you imagine yourself in that situation, they become genuinely creepy. The narration changes tone between stories and fits them well, though the intro and transitions feel a bit forced. Overall, it’s an intriguing listen—uneven at times, but worth it for fans of surreal short fiction.

This collection of creepy short stories serves up a smorgasbord of different characters, time periods, locations and plots, all infused with a dark atmosphere.
Schaller’s stories are very imaginative and his detailed, macabre descriptions made the listening experience quite vivid. The first story, “Uncanny Valley, “ was very effective in creating a palpable sense of dread. But my favorite was the title story, “Zone Rouge.” I could see it, and some of the others, as inspirations for movie screenplays.
I got a huge kick out of Catania’s narration. He has a wonderful voice for it and was hamming it up, which seemed to fit with the book. I enjoyed listening! If you enjoy weird, mind-bending horror, this is the book for you.

Spellbinding horror

I really enjoyed this collection. The stories are chilling and all stand on their own, which lets each one explore a different kind of horror. My favorites were Zone Rouge, Lost in the Dark, Parasite, and The Assistant. A strong, unsettling read.
